MAKING YOUR BOOKS! 4-week Workshop Series

This Book Arts Workshop series will take you through the process of designing and making your own book! Learn how to go from a model to a finished book, considering typography, media, structure, etc. Along the way you’ll have the opportunity to learn four different sets of skills to help you. Mark will also be coaching you one-on-one throughout the workshops as you work on your own book.

Bring some new adventure to your book making!

A wonderful way to make a Book to use in many ways! Papers are glued over boards and then we'll use simple sewing to add our pages!  During this workshop you will learn how to cut, glue, & bind this book! You will receive a handout with very complete instructions and information about all materials, supplies, and reference books. At the end of the workshop you will have a Hardbound Book to take home! Mark Wangberg has a lifelong passion for book making. He introduces the basics of Hardbound Books & Book Arts and also helps students deepen their skills and knowledge over time. He holds an MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and has exhibited nationally and internationally. Recently he has been involved in giving book and paper making workshops in Africa and the Amazon. He founded Jack-In-The-Box Press in 1972.
